You can navigate this site using either a static menu (created for *a very few* people who claimed to experience vertigo, dizziness or nausea when using the sliding menu) or a sliding menu. See the Site Enhancements section below for more detailed information concerning how this effects site navigation. Also, unlike many other webmasters, who code their websites only for people using 1024x768 and ABOVE screen resolution, I take special care to ensure that this and any other site I create also displays without an annoying horizontal scrollbar at 1024x768 screen rez when the browser window is maximized, and will still display well at higher screen resolutions. There are millions of people that still use 1024x768 screen rez on their puters. Unfortunately, many webmasters ignore this fact. Here's an example of what not to do, where a horrid horizontal scrollbar is generated.

Product 1: Winamp (0.x, 1.x, 2.x, 5.x)
Winamp 5 is the direct upgrade from Winamp 2.x (the last official release was version 2.91). Unlike Winamp3, which had to always be first uninstalled and then reinstalled in order to upgrade, Winamp 5 can be installed to the same directory as Winamp 2.x, thus seamlessly overwriting and replacing the older version.
About Winamp3:
Product 2: Winamp3 (last public release version = 1.0.0.488)
Winamp3 was always a separate product, built from scratch on the new Wasabi platform, whereas Classic Winamp (0.x, 1.x, 2.x, 5.x) is built on the standard Win32 engine. Winamp3 was originally intended as a replacement for Winamp (which at the time was at v2.80). But this never occurred. Winamp3 was released way ahead of schedule. Why? It was a "forced" release by America Online / Time Warner. Therefore, Winamp3 was never really "complete".
Initial reception for Winamp3 was not all that good, but there were then and also still are many of us who liked it (myself included).
*Note: Unfortunately, Winamp3 has been pronounced "dead", and its name changed to Wasabi.Player. However, Wasabi development (the platform that Winamp3 was built on) will live on.
There were 12 internal Winamp3 developer builds released after Winamp3 v1.0 (build #488). Those builds were never intended for general public use, and were there for beta-testing only. They were never officially supported. In order to have used one you needed to uninstall any previous build before installing a dev build, or install the dev build in a new directory (eg: if you also wanted to keep v1.0 build #488).

Winamp 2.81 was released and then in March 2003, Nullsoft publically declared The New Plan.

Be sure to check out Slick City, Long Island's hottest country band! Pay particular attention to the voice of an ANGEL in several of the songs. Her name is Angela Yodice, and she's my niece. Angela has been blessed with a beautiful voice, but also take a look at how lovely she is! In addition to being a great singer, Angela is also a very good artist. Here is a portrait that she drew of herself. OK. OK. So I'm just a tad bit prejudiced. But as you can see, Angela is indeed multi-talented and she, as well as the entire band, totally ROCK!! When navigating this site with a static (fixed) menu you'll see a fixed menubar in the left column and all site content will be located to the right in a scrollable separate frame. When navigating this site with a sliding (floating) menu, there is no need for any "Back to Top of Page" text or graphic links any longer. "Top of Page" is now incorporated into the menu (last selection) as a handy menu option. At whatever point you are on any page, the sliding menu will always be within view and easily accessible for total site access. If the menu script is working properly, you should see a sliding menu in the left column of this page, and at every page of this site. It doesn't matter how far down you scroll on a page. The menu will always follow you and "slide" into view for easy access. |
Site History:
This site "officially" opened on 11-06-02 but still has not been fully completed. Hmmm... is any site ever "fully" complete? I don't think so. However, a chatroom and a guestbook (powered by PHP & MySQL) were added on 06-02-03. I'm not really all that certain when I'll again be inclined to add anything more to this site. Only time will tell.
