Dynamic Library

All text in Dynamic Library can be translated using language files. These are files with a .lng extension which you can load at the Miscellaneous tab in preferences.

In the v1.03 installer, the following language files are included:

Croatian
Dutch
English (template)
French
German
Hungarian
Japanese
Spanish (removed: use version below)
Swedish

You can find the language files selected in the installer in this folder: \Winamp\Plugins\dl\Language

Not included with the installer, but available here:

Serbian
Serbian #2
Spanish (new version by felichas)
Templates

You can use the English file as a template to create your own language file. Open it in Notepad (by renaming the file to .txt, or by right-clicking the file in Windows Explorer > Open with...) and translate all lines. Then load it in Dynamic Library by going to Preferences > Dynamic Library > Miscellaneous tab > Language > click 'Change' button, and point it to your newly created language file.
Some things good to know:
- Be careful with long lines: if a translated string is too long to be displayed, part of the text will disappear.
- Returns in strings are represented by a \ character in the language file.
- Leave %i and %s alone. These represent either a number (eg. the number of scanned files) or a string (eg. a filename) and should not be removed.
- To display a & character, use && instead. A single & character will disappear in the resulting string.

The most current v2 Beta English template you can download here (updated continuously, although not always up to date). If you want to share your translation with others, attach your language file to a post in the DL v2 Beta thread. It will then be included in the installer when v2 is released. If you'd like to make a translation for DL v1.03, that's also possible. In that case, attach the file to a post in the DL readme/website thread. Your translation will then be added to the ones listed on this page.
